Hi Carbs or Hi Fats?
Which Diet is more likely to cause a Heart Attack?
Answer: Which Carb?; which Fat?
If hi-carbs are from fresh vegetable juice, and hi-fats are from coconut oil; BOTH are good. If the hi-carbs are from soda and the hi-fats are from heated vegetable (Omega-6) oils; BOTH are bad.
Why “Plant-based” is misleading: Exclusively "plant-based" diets are Vegan. What about Pesco-vegetarian? Blurring the line between Fish and Meat, is dangerous.
According to a large statistically-controlled study of 73,308 Seventh-day Adventist men and women (published in JAMA : Journal of the American Medical Association); the Pesco-Vegetarian (i.e. including Fish) Diet came out on top -- over all other diets, including Vegan. But both Pesco-Vegetarian and Vegan were much better than diets including eggs, milk, or meats (not fish).

You’ll receive just the science (no hype)
We’ll discuss many practical heart-healthy solutions personalized to your individual constitution, personality, budget, time-availability, and even taste buds!
Melding the Adventist Study, with the Mediterranean Diet, the benefits of which have been well-established in randomized control studies, we’ll build a case for a diet which includes plenty of whole fruit (fiber and thousands of inter-woven phytochemicals make the difference from "free fructose") and vegetables (low-temperature cooked or juiced), as well as low-mercury fish, and healthy fats like coconut oil: i.e. both good carbs and good fats – personalized to your unique constitution (including the use of Ayurvedic principles), and other circumstances. And we’ll point a dagger at the biggest culprit: refined/processed carbs (especially sugar).
It’ll be a scientific exploration – hopefully dispelling the fog caused by emotional advocates of many popular diets. We’ll connect the dots between Cholesterol and Heart Disease. There is Good Cholesterol (HDL, large/fluffy LDL) and Bad Cholesterol (small dense LDL). Good Cholesterol is essential to Good Health!
STRESS is a key cause of Heart Attacks. Hence, in addition to nutrition, we’ll discuss Meditation and Exercise.
